about

This song turned out much differently than I had anticipated. It evolves into this pseudo-bluegrass kind of thing, but that isn't at all what I had originally set out to do. Once it started to sound like that I leaned into it, though. From The Lake was originally supposed to contain music of wildly different genres and songs would often shift genres suddenly and somewhat frequently. A lot of that was dropped in favor of more intricate and complex composition, but this song is a remnant of that direction.

Last House on Peachtree Street is the only song other than Pinkerton Overture and Persephone at the Pier to contain Persephone's Theme, and ti's the only one to use it extensively. It's about Persephone revisiting the home she grew up in which had been abandoned when her parents had died.
