Persephone at the Pier was written after the switch in direction to an instrumental album. I wrote this with the intention of making something a little bit unusual, even for From The Lake.

Persephone, fittingly, is at the pier on the opposite side of the lake from The Fat Man's shack. She doesn't really know why she went there. Just to be around people, she supposes. Persephone finds her sister, Defiance, at the pier - alive. Something isn't right, though.
